Palmistry
Palmistry is a long-standing tool for divination that spans a wide variety
of cultures. Its origins have been traced back to India in BC period.
Palmistry became more refined during the 12th century when it spread to
China and Japan. During this time it was the Arabic traders who brought
it over from India to Europe where it became even more popular.
Examining Your
Hand
Just as every fingerprint is unique so are the etchings of every
hand. Examining the markings etched into your dominant hand can give you
the opportunity to take a look at what is and what could be. The lines
on the hand are not permanent. This is a good indicator that your future
is not etched in stone. There is always free will that offers us the choice
to change things in our lives when we are ready.
Line Quality
- Good quality lines are clear, deep, and without breaks, indicating
longevity, strength and endurance. Strong lines do not necessarally
indicate that everything will be easy or that there will be no struggles.
They indicate that with perseverance one can overcome any obstacle.
- Poor quality lines that get crossed with other lines or lose
their depth and become less grooved signify the lack of good flow and
well-being in a particular area.
Major Lines (use hand chart above)
A) Life Line – The life line symbolizes the quality of
a person's life force energy. The length of the line is not an indicator
of age: it indicates enthusiasm for life.
- A poor quality life line indicates that a person is not living to
his/her full potential.
The path of the line
- A line that travels outward into the center of the hand means
possible travels in the future.
- When the line leans toward the thumb that person will likely
be less of an adventurer.
B) Head Line – This is an indicator of how a person uses
his/her intelligence.
- A good quality line implies that this person puts thinking
before action. He/she is decisive and patient.
- A poor quality line indicates nervousness, sensitivity and
fragile-mindedness.
- A short head line is indicative of a person with good instincts
who is likely to take action.
- A longer line implies that the person is more mentally-oriented;
with good focus and determination.
- A straight line indicates logic and reasoning while a sloping
line indicates imagination, creativity and sensitivity.
- Deep Dots or Impressions – Can be an indicator of headaches
or other physical problems associated with the head.

It starts at the point of the letter C in the image. The other lines start
at the thumb side of the palm.

his/her thoughts and emotions.
- A poor quality line indicates a person who is stressed and
ruled by his/her moods.
- A straight line indicates that emotions are ruled by the mind.
- Curved Line is representative of a sentimental person with
good instincts.
- An island on this line under the ring finger indicates an
eyesight problem or problems related to the eyes.
Minor Lines (use hand chart above)
D) The Fate Line – When this line is present it can be
a time indicator. It can offer information about changes in career or
love.
- If this line is not present it may mean that a person’s
life is dictated by circumstances or is pushed by others.
- A good quality line indicates balance and inner strength
- Broken Line indicates major life changes and challenges that
could mean a change of profession or relationship.

talent. It starts at the base of the hand and travels up and under the

in the upper part of the palm it indicates success later in life.
