The Nostradamus
Prophecy
Born on December 14, 1503, in St. Remy
de Provence, Michel de Nostradame, or
Nostradamus, was a clairvoyant who used
science to interpret his visions. He was
often referred to as the prophet of doom
because many of his visions were of death
and war. The followers of the Nostradamus
Prophecy claim that he predicted the rise
of Hitler, the French Revolution, the
Great Fire of London, and the tragic destruction
of the space shuttle Discovery.
The
Task of Nostradamus
In 1554, Nostradamus undertook the monumental
task of writing a book about his prophecies.
He worked day and night using books on
the occult to guide his own writing. His
main source of information and inspiration
came from the book “De Mysteriis
Egyptorum”. In the year 1555, the
first part of his book entitled “Les
Propheties” was completed and contained
predictions from 1555 to his envisioned
end of the world. Although the book became
very popular in France and the rest of
Europe, Nostradamus was never able to
finish the project. He died in 1566.
The Visions of Nostradamus
Experts on Nostradamus believe that
approximately 50% of his predictions have
already taken place. Some of these predictions
include his vision of the Antichrists.
Researchers of Nostradamus agree that
he accurately predicted two of the Antichrists,
one being Hitler and the other, Napoleon.
According to the Prophecy of Nostradamus,
Quatrain 8:1, the first Antichrist would
be named “PAU, NAY, OLORON”.
This is an anagram for “Napaulon
Roy”, with Roy meaning “king”
in French. The second prediction in Quatrain
2:24 clearly spells out “Hister”,
which most accept as meaning Hitler. Although
these two predictions are clearly understood,
his third Antichrist prediction is elusive
and remains unsolved. Many individuals
believe that the anagram for the third
Antichrist is “Mabus”, and
refers to the 21st century terrorist Osama
Bin Laden, an assumption mainly based
on the verse that reads, "Terror
from the Sky" in the year 1999 and
7 months.
Putting Together the Pieces
The Nostradamus prophecies are difficult
to interpret and have baffled many for
centuries. Each vision should be seen
as a puzzle piece that can only fit together
with the whole. Some believe that when
adequate work and reflection has been
undertaken by individuals who have genuine
concern for their world and its destiny,
the Nostradamus Prophecy will speak clearly.
